Minutes of July 10th, 2017, Council Meeting
The Missouri City, Missouri City Council held their monthly open meeting at the MCCA Building on Monday, July 10th 2017 at 6:30 pm. Attending: Mayor Barry Moore, City Treasurer Lisa Webber, City Clerk Monte Railey, Water Bill Collector Brandon Gray and Council members Micah Schake, Sydney Stewart , Joe Selle and Rocky Gross. Also in attendance: Wilbur Webber.
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order.
Minutes from June 12th, 2017, meeting and June 2017 financial reports were read and approved.

Councilman Selle made a motion to authorize payments. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schake and carried 4-0.
Old Business
Signs reflecting new City speed limits are ready to be installed.
Bat Houses – Councilman Gross showed a completed bat house to the group. Notices advising interested parties to contact him for a bat house at no cost.
Ditch Clearing – Ronnie Marrant has been engaged to operate trencher for ditch clearing to be done in September. The City will work on clearing brush and trimming trees around ditches until then.
Water Project – Environmental Reports and other final documentation is being assembled by Art Akin with ACG Engineering for the USDA Loan application has been submitted for approval. City Clerk Railey submitted a “Notice of Intent to File“ notice to the Excelsior Springs Standard for publication. A published public notice is required within 60 days of filing for the USDA loan.
New Business
PWSD #4 raised bulk water rates to the City by approximately 3%. The Council agreed to absorb the increase and not pass it on to end users.
Councilman Gross reported a missing street sign at Stillhouse and Cemetery Hill. Mayor Moore advised it will be replaced.
The Certificate confirming the 2016 Water Quality Report is available to the public was returned to the State.
Councilman Schake requested additional speed bumps for Gano, Water and Shannon streets.
The Council agreed to hold the 2017 Tax Levy hearing prior at 6:00 pm on 8/14/17 prior to the monthly Council meeting at 6:30 pm.

The next Council meeting is scheduled for 6:30 pm on Monday, August 14th 2017, at the MCCA Building.
